What am I aquiring?
As a junior literary agent at Cyle Young Literary Elite, I am always looking to build my client base in both the Christian and Secular markets. Below, I have listed what I am currently acquiring. If you think your story would be a good fit, send a query to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Find our agency's submission guidelines here.

Picture Book - Nonfiction: Teach me about something that I didn't learn in school. What stories are unusual or little known? Who spoke out and made a difference? How did this get invented/how does it work? Why did this event have a great impact on how life as we know it? Show me the diversity in the world, and how it can bring us all together for the greater good. I'm particularly interested in STEM topics and women's history.
Titles I enjoy in this genre: Before She Was Harriet, Her Right Foot, Solving the Puzzle Under the Sea
Middle Grade - Fantasy (low, urban), Magic Realism, Horror: I'd love to find more coming of age stories that are surrounded by magic. Unique takes on witches, mermaids, and vampires are always something I'm looking for. Adventurous stories full of humor and diverse casts always snag my attention. I love any story set in the woods with a spark of mystery. I want to feel the danger of the unknown in a world that's similar to ours--points if it's with Eldritch Horror vibes. Show that light can shine in the darkest times. I'll be forever on the hunt for a supernatural story set in a summer camp.
Titles I enjoy in this genre: Gravity Falls, Small Spaces, To Night Owl From Dogfish, Snapdragon.
Young Adult - Contemporary Romance: I'm a HUGE fan of YA Rom-Coms! Send me the story of two darling dorks who can't help but fall in love. I love characters who can crack smart jokes quick quips. I'm interested in finding a story that isn't afraid to have characters exploring sexuality, asking questions, and experiencing the unknowns of first love. I'll never get tired of the enemies-to-friends-to-lovers trope. I'm open to m/f, f/f, m/m, and between other characters in the LGBTQ+ community.
Titles I enjoy in this genre: The Last True Poets of the Sea, Fangirl, Love & Gelato
Young Adult - Fantasy (low, urban), Magic Realism: I'd love to find a sweet, low fantasy with sparks of magic throughout the narrative. I'm VERY interested in stories that involve witches, pirates, and fairies. (Bonus points if you can fit in all three!) I love literary voices that can draw on existing myths to create a rich new world. I'd love to find a story with a diverse cast of characters who band together against unlikely to save the day like in your favorite D&D campaign. I like stories that involve the myths and legends of different cultures and little known tall tales. I'd love to see a story weaving some spooky Eldritch Horror vibes throughout.
Titles I enjoy in this genre: The Bone Houses, Wilder Girls, Six of Crows, The Diviners
Romance: As stated with YA, I love romantic comedies. I much prefer a buildup of romantic tension instead of an instant-love connection. Give me characters with smart humor and sassy remarks. I'm always open to stories with heart and humor. I enjoy a good trope, but I would love to see how you can make it original. The quirkier, the better! I'm open to m/f, f/f, m/m, and between other characters in the LGBTQ+ community. I will not accept erotica submissions.
Titles I enjoy in this genre: Red, White, and Royal Blue, The Bromance Book Club
Fantasy (low, urban)/Magic Realism: I'm searching for rich worldbuilding, intricate magic systems, and fascinating cultures. One of my favorite subgenres to experience is steampunk!
Titles I enjoy in this genre: A Darker Shade of Magic, A Discovery of Witches
